How much are the commissions for the products I sell?
Amazon.com will pay you up to 15% in referral fees for all products sold. More information on the payment structure can be found on Amazon.com at http://www.amazon.com/associates.

You can also earn money from the Yahoo Publisher Network which pays you for every click on the ads featured on your website. This can add up to hundreds or thousands more monthly.

How do I get my store listed with search engines?
We provide you with many free resources to get you listed quickly with the top search engines and directories on the Internet. And we optimize every site with keywords and descriptions on every page. Keep in mind that it can take several months for search engines to properly index your site once it is submitted. How are customer service issues handled (like returns or order problems)?
You will not need to worry about any of this since Amazon.com will handle all customer service issues related to the products in the store. However, if you are selling your own products outside of the Amazon store system, you will naturally need to take care of any issues there.

We provide you with free web statistics (example) so that you can see the hits to your home page. You also will be able to see statistics on sales made by logging into your account with Amazon.com.

How do I get paid, and when?
Amazon.com has several ways to pay you for sales, which includes by check, direct deposit, and by Amazon.com credits. Starting in 2007, Amazon will pay you monthly for the sales you make through your site.

How do I promote my site to get customers?
There many, many ways to promote your site including search engines, pay-per-click advertising, email marketing, word of mouth, community bulletins, local advertising, etc. We recommend that you find what you are most comfortable with and start with that. We also provide many resources on our Succeed page. Note: eBiz-U prohibits sending unsolicited email (spam). We hate spam and will terminate any store owner that uses this type of promotion.

Can I use my own domain name?
Yes, you can use your own domain name. Just supply your domain name when you place your order. This will also allow you to retain ownership of your domain name. Keep in mind that you will just need to provide your domain registrar with our server information which is as follows:

Why is there a link that says "in association with Amazon.com" on the store pages?
This is a requirement of Amazon.com. However, that link is also coded with your associate ID so even if someone is directed to Amazon's site, you will still get credit for the sale.

Can I change anything I want on my site?
You do have access to make your own changes to your site. You can also submit requests to have us make changes for you. So if there's something you want us to change, just ask us. We try to accommodate simple changes at no cost and also need to make sure standards of quality are met. If you are requesting major design changes, there may be an additional charge.

How many products are in my store?
There are hundreds of thousand products in the stores. An exact count isn't possible since Amazon adds products all the time. By doing a search or visiting some of the product categories you can see how many pages of products are listed. You'll be amazed how much is actually there.

Can I specialize and just sell products from one category, for example just a Hardware store?
Yes, we do offer this option and you can request this with your order. We would build your site with the subcategories for the category you choose. This is a great way to have a specialty site.
